Compassion International's Step Into My Shoes kit

Compassion International partnered with Grey Matter Group to create a flexible, immersive experience and devotional for families and small groups. Each step helps families to walk in the shoes of Ugandan family, and then invites them to follow in Jesus' footsteps—caring for those in need. Grey Matter Group shot photography, created curriculum videos, digital and print assets, and I had the pleasure of working on the curriculum layout (along with several other pieces in this family kit).

These hand-held booklets vary in length and type of content, but fit neatly in a sleeve for easy storage.

My hand-drawn illustrations of village locations allow the user to navigate through each step and easily review previous steps.

Journey Map: Uganda side

This map allows the family to see Uganda's location, then gives more visual cues to the culture and climate of the country. It was exciting to work on the illustrative type and imagery, creating a compelling way to learn about Uganda.

Another interesting part of the kit are these fabric bands, which are used to remind you to pray for others in need.

Inspired by children's illustrations, these icons are used in the curriculum booklets and step-by-step html emails.
